Blogmas, Day 3: Letter to Santa

It's been a while since I wrote a letter to the big man in the red! My mother used to make us write letters to him a few days before Christmas. I knew he wasn't real, but my sister did. My last letter to him must have been when I was 10 years old. My mom was great, she used to make us leave the letters by the door and in the morning they would be gone, and a giant glitter butt print was left in place. I used to go scrounging in my moms room, and one day, I found the letters that I had written in one of her drawers. Apparently, Santa gave them to her for safe keeping. For nostalgia sake, here's my letter to Santa (a tradition I hope to carry on with my future kids).

Dear Santa,

Merry Christmas!! It's been over 17 years since I last wrote a letter to you. I kind of still wish you were real, and that you would pick me to be one of your elves (Joke...ish). As with most letters, I've written to you to ask for something. I don't want anything physical, what I want this year is for everyone to have a great time, and that all their worries go away, even if it's just for Christmas.
One of my biggest wishes is for all the children in the world to have food, a warm place to sleep and to know that they are loved.
