A mask with no English! Hwa Sa Hake Dwen Da 화사하게 된다

It's a first with the no English. Usually there's some kind of English title on the pack but this one doesn't. It's not really sheet mask, but more of a cooling mask. It's supposed to help with brightening and balancing of the skin. It's such a strange mask and totally different to the other masks I have used. It's more of a cooling towel I think. As it's in Korean, I have no idea the real benefits, but it was super cool to try!

The mask comes with three rectangle sheets, and it's supposed to calm the redness on your face. It didn't have a lot of essence on it, but it did help to reduce the redness. I'm not really keen on this kind of mask, as I couldn't talk with it on! As you can see in the picture, you're supposed to put two masks vertically on your cheeks with the third mask horizontally over your mouth.

I probably won't purchase this one again, but it was fun to try! I have another version to review which I got for Christmas! If anyone speaks Korean and can help with the translation, I'd be forever grateful ^^!

What do you think about using products that are not in English, or in your own language? It's super hard to find out the benefits and I guess it's kinda of cool not knowing what it will do.

  1. If I had done this it would of ended up not being a face mask at all! It would turn out that it was something specifically for the anus! Me and my terrible luck! Hahaha!

  2. I love that you didn't really know what the benefits where. It's like lucky dip skin care haha! X

  3. Using products that are not in English or in Russian (in my case) is like a lottery! I have quite a few which are in Japanese and Korean and I try to translate some things using translator but it doesn't help much haha!
I've never seen a mask which is supposed to go over your mouth (if it's not a lip patch), that's quite interesting!

    1. Haha, it’s an okay mask, it’s not like those ones full of essence. I think it’s supposed to be cooling!

  5. At least the experience was fun! I've heard a lot of good things about korean skincare but I haven't been able to try anything yet.

  6. Oh lordy I am way too scared to try something I don't understand. Especially if I have to put it over my mouth as well 🙊

  7. Since I'm allergic for a lot of things I would let it pass. I can't risk it. It's a very cute packaging though!

  8. This scares the life out of me! My skin is far too sensitive to not be able to read labels unfortunately. If it wasn't I can see how this could be fun though! x

  9. Haha such a gamble! Kinda cool that you can actually see what it’s doing to your skin and not know if that’s what’s supposed to happen!

  11. When I buy korean products it's always a gamble. I usually try to check online before I buy it so that I can figure out what I'm supposed to use it for. I don't want to use a body lotion as a face wash by accident LOL Cute review!

  12. Kelly you are so funny. I would never think of talking with a face mask on. But I would also not purchase something where I could not read the package so good for you for trying.

  13. When I visited China none of the products had English on them, luckily we had a guide who happily translated and recommended her favourite skin care products! Other wise we all would have been clueless lol

  14. I wouldn't be sure about using products that I was unfamiliar with the purpose for. Luckily my skin isn't sensitive so it probably wouldn't bother me if I did but I'd like to at least know the purpose of the product!!

  15. I have had some korean products with no English on them before i actually emailed the company to get proper instructions. I think with sheet masks that they are easy enough whack them on your face leave for 20 mins then let the rest of the serum soak into your skin. Nice to know what it's meant to do though! For all you know it could have been to dye your skin green haha..

  16. First time seeing a mask like this! Haha, I'm sure my husband would love for me to use that towel-over-mouth thing once in a while since I barely ever shut up ;) It reminds me of DIY masks when you soak cotton pads with essences and then put those on, actually!
I could help with any translations you need :)

  17. The mask looks really cool but yeah a bit difficult to use when not knowing how to read Korean! My suffer with a red face sometimes so this could be good for me! x

  18. I really like the packaging; however, I agree I'm not a fan of the shape of the mask and how you apply it. I would love this mask in the summer time here in Australia because it gets really hot and a nice cooling mask would be great for that. I don't mind packaging with no english on it but it is hard to understand what the packaging says and what the benefits are of the product. Great post as always kelly xx
